In 2009, the world was falling apart, and I was coming out of rock-bottom. I decided to take a year to party. Income turned into no-income. Savings turned into nothing. Credit cards became the norm and they were maxing out quick!
It was around this time, when the world was falling apart, that I thought it would be a good time to stop my non-sense and take advantage of opportunities. I saw & experienced the last crash in 2000 but I was too young to take advantage of it then. When 2010 came around, I was older and hopefully wiser when I decided to take advantage of the opportunities.
Fast forward to 2016, I thought it would be a good idea to start a personal finance site to help myself and others make sense of this. After all, I spent the last 6 years actively being an investor/entrepreneur & been studying finance since 2007. It has allowed me to be completely financially independent in one of the most expensive cities, Los Angeles. There's too much information now and a lot of it is bullshit. Too many fake gurus making a living off teaching secrets or spreading motivation. I rather speak from personal experience and I'm not financially driven with TunaFishy.com. Instead, I view TunaFishy.com as a website I wished I visited when I first started out.
I hope this is the place you can stop to learn, share, and grow. Tuna Fishy will dive deeper into investing, real estate, alternative investments, retirement planning, career strategies, money philosophy, savings, and many more, so we can all achieve financial independence sooner, rather than later.
Every article will be written off first hand experience to provide the most helpful insights possible. Money matters are too important to be left up to pontification.
